In the 116 year-history of Hermanus Golf Club the club always had strong leadership at committee level.
After he stepped down as Chief Justice of South Africa the Right Honorable E.F. Watermeyer was in 1951 elected as President of the Hermanus Club and served in this position to 1958.
Sandy Grant served 4 years as club captain (1947, 1948, 1951 and 1952) then went on to become President in 1959 where he presided for 22 years (from 1959 to 1981).
Hannes Kleynhans served from 1992 to 1998 as President of the Club as well as 2007/2008. He was instrumental in the planning of the new course and land ownership for the club.
